Win a copy of Michael J. Sullivan's THEFT OF SWORDS

I have three copies of Michael J. Sullivan's Theft of Swords for you to win, compliments of the folks at Orbit. For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

Here's the blurb:

Royce Melborn, a skilled thief, and his mercenary partner, Hadrian Blackwater, make a profitable living carrying out dangerous assignments for conspiring nobles-until they are hired to pilfer a famed sword. What appears to be just a simple job finds them framed for the murder of the king and trapped in a conspiracy that uncovers a plot far greater than the mere overthrow of a tiny kingdom.

Can a self-serving thief and an idealistic swordsman survive long enough to unravel the first part of an ancient mystery that has toppled kings and destroyed empires?

And so begins the first tale of treachery and adventure, sword fighting and magic, myth and legend
.

The rules are the same as usual. You need to send an email at reviews@(no-spam)gryphonwood.net with the header "THEFT." Remember to remove the "no spam" thingy.

Second, your email must contain your full mailing address (that's snail mail!), otherwise your message will be deleted.

Lastly, multiple entries will disqualify whoever sends them. And please include your screen name and the message boards that you frequent using it, if you do hang out on a particular MB.

Good luck to all the participants!

I'm looking forward to series after hearing a couple of interviews with the author on the Adventures in SciFi Publishing and AudioTim podcasts.

His books did well as indie publications before Orbit signed him and decided to condense his six book series into 3 volumes. The next two books are scheduled to come out soon so you won't have to wait very long to finish the series.

You can also download a short story featuring the two main characters at the author's site. Here's the link: http://www.riyria.blogspot.com/p/extras.html

I don't have any connection to the author. I just wanted to pass on information that I gleened from those interviews so people can get a sample of his writing style via the short story and let people know that the final book in the trilogy comes out early next year since so many people are hesitant about starting a series before the last volume is published.
